In una delle gare cruciali della stagione, i giovani San Jose Sharks non riescono a trovare i due punti e cedono sul ghiaccio di casa ai Nashville Predators che si impongono con il punteggio di 3-6. Già nella prima frazione la partita sembrava ormai segnata, visto il vantaggio degli ospiti per 0-3. Nella frazione centrare il punteggio della gara non è variato e solamente nei cinque minuti finali del secondo tempo sono arrivati i due goal degli Sharks con Nick Leddy e Celebrini. A completare l’aggancio sul 3-3 ci ha pensato in cavalcata solitaria Alexander Wennberg con un coast to coast dalla proprio terzo alla porta difesa da Saros, dopo solo un minuto e sei secondi. Ma dopo aver raggiunto il pareggio, gli Sharks non hanno spinto più e si sono ripresentati gli stessi errori che hanno caratterizzato questa stagione. Tutto ciò a portato Nashville a trovare prima la rete del 3-4, per poi allungare in inferiorità numerica sul 3-5 e dopo a porta vuota è arrivato il goal del definitivo 3-6.
Ora la prossima partita dei San Jose Sharks sarà lunedì 6 di notte contro i Chicago Blackhawks.
