Gaudette e Ostapchuk ritrovano Ottawa

Fifth Stop on the Sharks’ Road Trip

San Jose is set to play the fifth game of their season-opening six-game road trip. Tonight, Ryan Warsofsky’s team will visit the Ottawa Senators.
The Sharks are looking for their second consecutive victory. The only time they have won back-to-back games this season came in their first two contests, against the Florida Panthers and Los Angeles Kings.
The Senators and Sharks will meet for the 49th time in NHL regular-season history. Ottawa leads the all-time series with 24 wins to San Jose’s 20, while four games ended in ties.
After winning three consecutive games against Ottawa, San Jose has earned just one victory over the next seven meetings and has lost the last four.
The Sharks have won only two of their last 11 regular-season games in Ottawa. Their most recent victory came on Oct. 21, 2021, and they have since lost four straight at Canadian Tire Centre.

Gaudette and Ostapchuk Return to Ottawa

Two players on the current San Jose roster have previously played for the Senators: Adam Gaudette and Zack Ostapchuk.
Gaudette played for Ottawa during the 2021-22 and 2024-25 seasons, appearing in 131 games. In the latter campaign, he set an NHL career high with 19 goals.
Ostapchuk was selected by the Senators with the 39th overall pick in the 2021 NHL Draft. He spent two seasons with Ottawa, appearing in 50 games and recording four points in 2023-24 and 2024-25.
Darnell Nurse has scored seven goals in 26 regular-season games against the Senators. The former Edmonton Oilers defenseman has scored more against only one NHL opponent, recording eight goals against the Winnipeg Jets.
Barclay Goodrow has gone 18 consecutive regular-season games without a point. His most recent goal came 36 games ago, against the Edmonton Oilers on Feb. 28.
Tyler Toffoli currently owns the longest active point streak among Sharks players, although it stands at only two games. The Canadian forward has collected three points over his last four contests.
