Marchment e Wennberg, primi gol contro Nashville
Askarov e Sherwood ritrovano i Predators

A six-game road trip begins
The San Jose Sharks are set to begin a demanding stretch of six consecutive road games, starting with a matchup against the Nashville Predators.
After winning their first two games of the regular season, San Jose earned only two points over its next four contests. Those points came from an overtime victory against the St. Louis Blues, while the Sharks lost the other three games.
Dating back to the end of last season, the Sharks have not posted the same result in consecutive road games over their past six contests away from SAP Center. Each loss has been followed by a victory, including their recent win in St. Louis.
Nashville leads the all-time series
The Predators and Sharks will meet for the 92nd time in NHL regular-season history. Nashville leads the all-time series with 51 wins to San Jose’s 38, while the teams have also played to two ties.
The Sharks’ victory in the most recent meeting ended their longest losing streak against any NHL opponent: 15 consecutive defeats against the Predators.
San Jose has won only three of its past 21 regular-season games in Nashville. That total includes the most recent meeting at Bridgestone Arena, a 3-2 Sharks victory on April 13.
Marchment and Wennberg scored their first goals against Nashville
Mason Marchment has scored 96 career regular-season goals. His first NHL goal came against the Nashville Predators on March 4, 2021.
Alexander Wennberg also scored his first NHL goal against Nashville, nearly seven years before his new teammate Marchment, on Dec. 22, 2014.
Askarov and Sherwood face their former team
Yaroslav Askarov joined the San Jose Sharks in a trade with the Nashville Predators before the 2024-25 season. The goaltender made only three NHL appearances for Nashville over two seasons.
Among the skaters on the current Sharks roster, Kiefer Sherwood is the only one who previously played for the Predators. The forward spent two seasons in Tennessee, in 2022-23 and 2023-24, recording 40 points in 100 games.
Nashville a favorite opponent for several Sharks
After the Minnesota Wild, against whom he has scored seven goals, and the St. Louis Blues, six, the Predators are the team Macklin Celebrini has scored against most often during the regular season. The Sharks captain has five goals in six career games against Nashville.
The Predators are the opponent against whom Mason Marchment has scored the most regular-season goals in his career. He has recorded eight goals and 13 points against Nashville.
