Before heading out on a five-game road trip in the regular season, the San Jose Sharks stop in Buffalo to take on the Sabres in game No. 62 of the season.
After rattling off three straight wins, the Sharks have dropped their last two home games in overtime—to the St. Louis Blues and the New York Rangers.
On the road, San Jose hasn’t won a regular-season game in four straight outings; their last victory away from home came on January 27 at Vancouver.
The Sabres and Sharks are facing off for the 52nd time in the regular season. Buffalo holds the edge with 32 wins to San Jose’s 15, plus there have been four ties.
The Sharks’ win in their most recent meeting with Buffalo snapped a five-game losing streak against them—that victory came right in the Sabres’ building.
