Pur mostrando combattività i San Jose Sharks escono sconfitti 3-5 dal confronto con i Dallas Stars. Celebrini e compagni hanno giocato come meno aggressività rispetto alle tre partite precedenti, rimanendo lo stesso in gara per la vittoria finale, ma gli ospiti hanno sfruttato l’unico errore grave fatto dal portiere degli Sharks Alex Nedeljkovic. Uscito dietro porta per recuperare il disco, il portiere l’ha rimesso in mezzo davanti alla propria porta dove non c’era nessun compagno di squadra. Il disco è finito a Justin Hryckowian che ha segnato praticamente a porta vuota la rete del 4-2 per i Dallas Stars. All’inizio del terzo e ultimo periodo, gli Sharks trovano la rete del 3-4 con una bellissima azione condotta da Macklin Celebrini, il rookie Igor Chernyshov e finalizzata da Collin Graf, autore di una doppietta. San Jose ha tentato in tutti i modi di portare la partita in parità ma le ottime parate del portiere Jake Oettinger hanno impedito agli Sharks di trovare la via del goal. Rete che hanno trovato, invece, gli ospiti, con Jamie Benn che ha insaccato a porta vuota il goal del definitivo 3-5. Prossima gara dei San Jose Sharks, nella notte tra sabato e domenica contro i Seattle Kraken.
