SERIE A: OGGI MILAN-ATALANTA

Milan return to San Siro after their European victory

Following their midweek Europa League fixture, AC Milan turn their attention back to Serie A as they welcome Atalanta to San Siro on Matchday 7.

The Rossoneri are looking to return to winning ways in the league. Milan have won only one of their last four Serie A matches, against Lecce, drawing the other three, including their most recent encounter with Sassuolo.

Milan have won both of their league matches at San Siro so far, defeating Venezia and Lecce. The Rossoneri have not recorded three consecutive home league victories since 19 October 2025, when they beat Bologna, Napoli and Fiorentina.

Rúben Amorim’s side will also attempt to win their opening three home matches of a Serie A campaign for the first time since the 2023-24 season.

Milan have yet to concede in their first two home league fixtures. The last time the Rossoneri kept clean sheets in at least their opening three Serie A matches at home was in 2002-03, when they began with four successive shutouts.

Atalanta have become a difficult opponent for Milan

Milan and Atalanta will meet for the 131st time in Serie A history. The Rossoneri lead the head-to-head record with 55 victories to Atalanta’s 29, while the other 46 encounters ended in draws.

However, Milan have won only one of their last eight league meetings with Atalanta: a 2-0 victory on 26 February 2023. Since then, the Rossoneri have recorded two draws and four defeats, including their most recent encounter at San Siro on 10 May.

Milan’s six-match winless run against Atalanta is also their second-longest active streak without a Serie A victory against a particular opponent, behind their seven matches against Juventus, which produced five draws and two defeats.

Despite holding the stronger overall record, Milan have won only two of their last 12 Serie A home matches against the Bergamo side. Their three most recent meetings at San Siro have produced one draw and two defeats.

Alongside Inter and Udinese, Atalanta are the team against whom Mike Maignan has conceded the most Serie A goals, with 13. The French goalkeeper has kept only two clean sheets against them.

Strahinja Pavlović has scored seven Serie A goals in total, with his most recent strike coming against Atalanta at San Siro on 10 May.

Rúben Amorim has never defeated Atalanta in four previous meetings as a manager. The Portuguese coach has recorded two draws and two defeats, with all four matches taking place in the Europa League.
